Le Mondo Residency
Spring 2026 · Le Mondo Arts, 406 N Howard St, Baltimore
Across the spring of 2026, David held a performance residency at Le Mondo, an artist-run venue in Baltimore's Bromo Arts District. The residency spanned three public events: an evening of chamber and improvised music in January, a collaboration with dance in February, and a culminating full-band show in April featuring premieres of new original works for rock ensemble and electronics.
January 18 — chamber & improvised music
Opening night of the residency, with the experimental quartet SALLT — voice, guitar, viola, and flute across a set moving between notated material and free improvisation.
February 22 — Kaleidoscope, with Zoë Brielle Payne
A 44-minute collaboration with choreographer Zoë Brielle Payne, combining SuperCollider synthesis, studio recording sessions, DAW mixing, and CuePilot, a purpose-built show-runner app. Kaleidoscope went on to run at the Charm City Fringe Festival in May 2026.
April 26 — culminating show
The final event brought three ensembles to one stage: the debut of the Helectrons (Vid Smooke's band) opening the evening; the premiere of Break On Through, a conducted trio for flute, bassoon, and prepared cello; and a set of original songs and arrangements for rock ensemble — voice, guitars, bass, drums, and electronics — including free improvisation with guests from the opening band.
